CompTIA Excited to Partner with RSA for RSA Conference 2024

RSA, one of the world's leading computer and network security providers, is hosting its annual conference next week — and CompTIA will be there.

CompTIA will be at RSAC 2024For over 30 years, the RSA Conference has been the go-to for those in the cybersecurity community to discover how the field is ever-evolving and how to build defenses against it. The RSA Conference (RSAC) combines keynote sessions, panels, learning labs, and more to educate and involve professionals from the cybersecurity industry in its actionable intelligence. CompTIA is thrilled to be an RSAC association partner and to have two sessions with a CompTIA speaker, a booth, and handful of other events during the conference.

As digital threats and privacy concerns continue to pervade our digital landscape, cybersecurity and its protections have become more necessary than ever.

Many Issues Drive Cybersecurity Concerns

This is why RSAC can be invaluable for those in IT, cybersecurity, or any form of digital security, compliance, or training.

CompTIA at RSAC

CompTIA is thrilled to be a part of RSAC. We will have a booth in the Expo Hall where attendees can learn more about CompTIA’s role in cybersecurity, host a networking reception, and be the speaker at two different sessions.

Our VP of Cyber Development Programs for CompTIA, Ron Culler, will be sharing his expertise during two sessions. Culler has been key in developing cybersecurity product strategies for both learning and certifications. He has a 30-year tenure in cybersecurity analyzing cyber threats and developing methods to protect against them.

The first of Culler’s sessions will be the “Art of Possible: Transforming How We Develop the Next-Gen Cyber Workforce.” Culler will share his insights on how to promote inclusivity and remove barriers as the workforce brings in the next generation of cybersecurity workers.

Culler’s additional session, titled “Bridging the Talent Gap: How Certifications, Upskilling, and AI Can Help” will address the insights and necessities gained by leveraging certifications in the cybersecurity and AI realm. Culler will expand upon the idea that utilizing these certifications to upskill can fortify your organization against cyberthreats.

Why Developing a Next-Gen IT Workforce is Crucial

As we will discuss in our first session, it is important that we develop the next-gen workforce and prepare them for crucial IT jobs. In an increasingly digitized world, the importance of upskilling and developing the next-generation cyber workforce cannot be overstated. As technology advances and cyber threats become more sophisticated, there is a pressing need for a skilled workforce equipped to tackle these challenges head-on.

Upskilling individuals in cybersecurity not only bolsters their own career prospects but also fortifies our collective defense against cyber threats. By investing in the development of a proficient cyber workforce, we empower individuals to safeguard critical infrastructures, protect sensitive data, and innovate securely. Ultimately, nurturing a well-trained cohort of cyber professionals ensures that we can adapt to the evolving landscape of cyber threats and maintain a secure digital ecosystem for generations to come.

Using IT Certification and AI to Bridge the Talent Gap

In addition to discussing the next-gen workforce, Culler will also share his expert insights about how to utilize IT certifications to bridge the talent gap and get placed in a higher- paying and more relevant position.

Certifications in the IT industry validate expertise and proficiency in specific technologies or skills, providing employers with tangible evidence of an individual's capabilities. Upskilling through certifications enables IT professionals to stay abreast of the latest developments and emerging technologies, ensuring they remain competitive in a rapidly evolving field. Moreover, certified professionals often command higher salaries and enjoy greater career advancement opportunities, making ongoing education and certification a vital aspect of professional growth in the IT sector.

Cybersecurity Topics at RSAC

In addition to the sessions Ron Culler will be leading and the incredible knowledge you can gain from them, there will be hundreds of sessions, panels, and Q&A at RSAC. They will cover everything from cybersecurity and zero-trust architecture to cloud computing and AI. Sessions will give you insider knowledge and incredible takeaways about the importance of cybersecurity, ways to combat cyber threats, and more.
